Product Review: Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Moist Pack

I have professed my love for Etude House products ever since I started blogging and I still continue to explore as they offer a wide range of products that are easy on the budget. I am most of the time not disappointed with everything that I purchase. So here is another product review that I hope most of you will find helpful of my new favorite product from Etude House, the Silk Scarf Hair Moist Pack.

Initially, I wanted to get the treatment instead of the moist pack because I have read a ton of great reviews about it plus it is cheaper than the moist pack. But when I asked the SA the difference between the two, she said that the former is more for normal hair that needs a bit of pampering while the latter is for dry and damaged hair due to chemical treatments. When I heard that, I knew I had to get the moist pack instead though I would have to spend 50 Php (a little over a dollar) more but I think I made the right decision.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I noticed my hair became shinier than ever. I don't think there is a treatment in this world that can really help me reverse the dryness of my hair but this one made a pretty decent job of keeping my hair soft and shinier. I can say it's totally worth the purchase. I have tried many salon treatments before and some of them damaged my hair even more while others did a so-so job. After using this for two weeks (twice a week) I was glad to know that there still might be some hope for my hair.
 Pros:

  • Shinier hair
  • Scent is not too strong which for me, is an indication that there are little or no harsh chemicals or artificial scents in the formulation
  • Cute pink packaging
  • The pack is filled entirely with the product. Only a few spaces were left as compared to other products that claim to contain some amount of product but when you open, it is not entirely filled and some are even filled only halfway through (or maybe it was just the pack that I got, haha!).
  • Easy to wash off.
Cons:
  • Watery consistency - it makes it hard to scoop the right amount of products out because it slips.
  • A bit expensive for me (it was 438Php while the treatment is only 378Php)
  • You have to let it sit for 5 minutes in your hair before washing which is too long for me. My hands and feet get a bit wrinkly already.

I don't think it did anything to make my hair softer though as the texture of my hair is pretty much the same. But what I love about this product is keeping the softness of my hair (my previous treatment made my hair hard and very dry after using) and making it appear shinier. I am really happy with how my hair turned out after using this. I use the hot towel wrap trick when using this and I think it helped with the results. I think I have found my crowning glory. :)

Happy Monday everyone! :)

    1. yeah! the fragrance of this line is very mild so it's not very irritating and overpowering. I think it was the hologram serum? :)

  18. I bought this today and actually tried it out just an hour ago. Currently googling what others have said about it since I'm curious if it worked for anyone else. The pretty packaging got me and so far, I really like the scent. I hope I'll like it too in the coming days and weeks. Thanks for the review!
