Lioele Product Review: Fresh Sun Screen, Triple the Solution BB Cream, and Multi Seaweed Gel

I am a huge fan of Korean beauty products (in case that isn't obvious yet). I was once a heavy user of western brands. Unfortunately, they were not able to deliver the results that I want. I guess it can be attributed to the fact that I have Asian skin and therefore, I need products that are formulated for my specific skin type. Etude House, Missha, Tony Moly, and The Face Shop were the first Korean brands I have tried and I swear by them. I recently acquired a few samples of Lioele products and I was really ecstatic to try them out. I will be reviewing three of the samples I got.

Lioele Fresh Sun Screen
We all know how important wearing sun screen is for the skin. It shields the skin from harmful UV rays thereby preventing drying and skin aging. But the thing I hate most about sun screens is that they can make my face really oily. I always go for sun screens that have a high SPF because I have hyperigmentations and because I have very sensitive skin. I have tried Nivea and Pond's before but the former is too oily for my skin and the latter broke me out. I also tried L'oreal before and it was sooooo much oilier than Nivea.

When I saw this from the pack I got, I was like "meh." I don't even want to try it! But the description says it is not sticky at all so I decided to give it a try. Besides, it has SPF 45 PA++ which is definitely a good thing. I was really happy I did because it really wasn't sticky or oily at all. It has a matte finish and is easily absorbed by the skin.

Pros:
  • matte finish
  • high SPF
  • non-sticky and non-oily feeling
  • lovely light powdery-floral scent
Cons:
  • only available online and at Market! Market!

Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream
This is definitely the most popular BB cream from the brand. I've seen a lot of beauty bloggers and YouTube gurus use this BB cream. With all the hype, I became really curious. I was really glad that a sample of this ever so popular BB cream was added in the samples I got.

Clearly, it has a good coverage. As you can see, my skin is heavily scarred so I need something that has a decent coverage. This is definitely the strongest point of this BB cream; it is formulated for people who need coverage. But even if I really love this BB cream for its great coverage, I find it kind of heavy on the face. It is probably because of the very thick consistency.
Pros:

  • medium-full coverage
  • stays on your face for a long time
Cons:

  • very thick consistency
  • heavy feeling
Lioele Multi Seaweed Gel
In all honesty, I seriously have no idea what this product will do to my skin. It claims to provide a soothing effect on sensitive skin and promote elasticity. This product may be great for people with very sensitive skin and needs a calming agent for any inflammation. Thankfully, I don't have that kind of skin condition. My skin is only sensitive in the sense that I breakout easily with new products, so I decided to try this on my body instead.
Pros:
  • watery consistency that is very light on the skin
  • easily absorbed by the skin
  • it makes the applied area feel smoother

Cons:
  • I didn't feel the soothing effect. I was actually expecting it feel cool on the skin but it didn't have that effect.
Since I don't have any inflammation or irritation on my skin, I really can't say much if this product will really work for such condition. However, it really made the applied area feel smoother and hydrated. I guess this can act as a lotion as well.

Overall, I am very impressed with Lioele products. The only downside is that they are only available online and in Market! Market! in Taguig. Nonetheless, if you have the same skin condition and concerns as i do, I give these products my seal of approval.

    1. I have heard great things about snail creams but I am too afraid to try them. Do they really work even for acne-prone skin?

    1. I have the same experience! I have had great results with Korean products and my skin never looked better. You can purchase these products from various online stores. Ebay and Amazon has a few but I really don't recommend them because Korean products expire after one year. Sasa.com is probably the best place to purchase but they have a reputation of either having really good service or really poor service.
