Short Post: Out of your Comfort Zone

Going out of your comfort zone is inevitable. At some point in our lives, we have to leave behind what we are used to for something different and something better. We have to do new things we are unfamiliar with to gain more knowledge and to become better persons.

It can be a scary thing; trying new things. That would mean leaving all your worries behind and facing new challenges with courage and tenacity. It means leaving your comfort zone and walking through unknown territory. It can be a scary thing. But these new things are what makes us stronger, wiser, tougher, and broadens our perspective.

I am jealous of people who are adventurous and outgoing. I am neither adventurous nor outgoing and most of the time, I like to stay within my comfort zone. I am always scared of new things and will always come up with a bunch of excuses just to prevent myself from doing so. But when you think about it, sometimes, you just have to let go and let loose. If you really want something, you have to be prepared to make that big leap and be out of your comfort zone. If this is something that you really want, you just have to do it whether you are comfortable or not.

College and my university has always been my comfort zone. This is where I met my good friends and this is also where I met myself. It has always been a great joy for me to be here. I feel relaxed and comfortable. But of course, I can't stay here forever. At some point, I have to move on in pursuit of better, brighter and bigger things. It is nice to go back here once in a while to reminisce and remind myself of all the beautiful memories my friends and I created. But eventually, we all have to move on and move forward with our lives. We have to enter new territories and start a new chapter in our lives. This will always be my comfort zone. But in order to grow,  I have to leave it eventually.
