Product Review: Haruhada Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Water

"It is necessary to remove all traces of dirt and makeup before going to bed." - That is what I have always thought.

But sometimes when you are so tired from work/school, you want to just head to bed and sleep immediately. And if you have very sensitive and acne-prone skin like I do, that is a no-no. Though you're so tired already, removing makeup is a must. I have always wanted to try the Bioderma Crealine H2O Cleanser because of all the great reviews I have heard. It is a non-rinse cleanser that will remove all traces of dirt and makeup. Great for lazy people like me, eh? But it is quite expensive and  as you all probably know by now, I am quite frugal when it comes to makeup (and I have an Asian cosmetics fetish?). So when my parents went to Malaysia last week I begged my mom to buy me the Haruhada Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Water instead. It is supposed to work just like Bioderma: remove makeup and moisturize the skin at the same time.

Pros:
  • more affordable than Bioderma
  • really cleanses the skin
  • it did not break me out
  • I did not have to wash my face after with soap and water
  • scent is very light - almost non-existent
  • gentle on the face (it did not dry my skin out nor was there any tingling/burning sensation)
Cons:
  • you need more than one cotton pad to thoroughly remove all makeup
  • you may need to use a lot of product in one use
  • the 500ml bottle can be used up within a few weeks

Overall Verdict:
I really like this product! I am starting to like Japanese brands now because of this and another product which I will do a review soon as well (though my Korean cosmetics addiction has not dwindled even the slightest!). This is a great product to use on your lazy days when you hardly have the energy anymore to wash your face and remove your makeup as you would normally do. This can definitely do a great job and did not break me out which is always a plus point as I have very sensitive skin. The only problem I see is that the 500ml may be too little. I do hope they make an even bigger bottle of this! :)

Have a lovely week ahead!

  2. I love the Cure Aqua Gel. I love Japanese products too. Do they have one as a body lotion? I should give this a try because my skin is acne prone too!
