+ Looking for Retro Style Glasses?

Retro-framed glasses offer a quirky look which I totally dig. This eyewear with bold color and fashionable design will lighten up your summer days and perfectly match all your colorful summer outfits. The rectangular lenses are surrounded by thin and sleek rims, extending out to metal stems. Spring hinges add extra comfort when worn. They definitely add a certain uniqueness to every style.

+ Looking for Oversized Glasses?

Express yourself and let people turn heads with oversized glasses. This eyewear with big conspicuous frame is so unique and attractive and they will let you stand out in a crowd. Oversized glasses are always your best choice for showing your star quality.

+ Looking for Fashion Tinted Sunglasses?

These two pairs of retro-style sunglasses are somewhat different from traditional wraparound sunglasses you may have seen  before. It is of traditional frame shape with sunglasses lenses, which make you look more fashionable and elegant in this hot summer season.

Thrifting 101: The Art of Thrift Shopping

It’s been 8 years since I started thrift shopping.

I was only 16 then and with no money to spend for new clothes to school. We don’t wear uniform in my university and I only have 150Php ($4) budget everyday for food and transportation. I don’t have many clothes because I just came from a private catholic school that requires me to wear highly conservative uniform. My family wasn’t rich and my parents have always taught me to value frugality.

Fashion has always been an interest of mine but with my current financial situation, I am forced to look for other interests. Later did I realize that fashion need not always equate to money. It is all about how you style your clothes and how you carry them. The price tag isn’t supposed to be an issue. And then, I found the beauty of thrift shopping.

Short Post: Out of your Comfort Zone

Going out of your comfort zone is inevitable. At some point in our lives, we have to leave behind what we are used to for something different and something better. We have to do new things we are unfamiliar with to gain more knowledge and to become better persons.

It can be a scary thing; trying new things. That would mean leaving all your worries behind and facing new challenges with courage and tenacity. It means leaving your comfort zone and walking through unknown territory. It can be a scary thing. But these new things are what makes us stronger, wiser, tougher, and broadens our perspective.

Style Influencer

Fashion has always been a huge part of my life. I remember trying to create clothes for my Barbie collection (trying as the operative word because the patterns I made didn't really manifest due to my poor sewing skills). I also remember trying some of my mom's clothes especially her shoes when she goes out of the house to work. I have always loved fashion and try as I might to resist the urge to purchase new clothes, I just couldn't!

Looking back, my style evolved quite drastically. It may be due to the financial limitations I had before and it could also be because of the people/things that/who influence my style.

Summer Escapade 3: Cagbalete Island, Quezon

I went to the beach again last May 3rd and I can't express to you the awe I felt of this particular island down south. It is definitely one of the weirdest but beautiful islands, nonetheless. Weird because there are times when it is impossible to go swimming due to super low tides to which the island is known for. Swimming is only possible at certain hours of the day when it is high tide and people who don't know how to swim need not worry because the water doesn't go above my knee (I am only 5'2" by the way). But walking to nearby islands is possible during low tides because there is literally no water. Like, where the hell did all the water in the Pacific Ocean go?

Short Post: Moving Forward

Sometimes when we feel hurt, all we can do is wallow about it and drown in our emotions. It can be an overwhelming feeling and all we can think about is how hurt we are and how the people/event have hurt us deeply. But time heals everything. Though it leaves a scar, it is not the end of the world. We still have the rest of our lives before us to live and move forward, to change for the better, and become stronger.

But the thing that overwhelms most people aside from the hurt they feel is getting revenge. They want justice served and to hurt the other party to the same degree they felt. Revenge can be a dangerous thing and it will consume you. However, if you were not the one hurt, how can you blame the one you've hurt from wanting revenge? I am one for justice and equality and I believe that people who hurt should get hurt. But sometimes wanting revenge and letting the other party get served can be consuming and you can't focus on anything else other than getting the revenge you want. But I am also a believer of karma. If you hurt other people, one day you will get hurt, too, and it will be worse than what you did.
