Summer Outfit Inspiration

Summer may be over in my part of the world, but I know that many of you are still enjoying the warm sunshine of the summer solstice. Because I can't help but envy those who get to still wear sandals and short shorts, I created various sets in Polyvore. I hope these sets will inspire you, too. :)

Spend vs. Save: Shu Uemura and JuJu Aquamoist Cleansing Oil

Cleansing oils have become a skin saver for me. It is a 2-in-1 product that removes makeup and cleanses the skin. There is an abundance of such products nowadays so finding one isn't really that difficult. The challenging part is finding one that suits your skin type. If you have hyper sensitive skin that can easily breakout (just like me), cleansing oils may be a little intimidating. It can be scary to try at first because you worry that it will break you out. But the thing I learned with cleansing oils is that, washing your face with antibacterial soap after can help. Even if cleansing oils are meant to cleanse the skin at the same time, it can make your skin really oily (for people with oily skin/t-zone). Thus, washing the face with a soap is still necessary (bummer, I know).

But the thing I like about cleansing oils is that they really do a good job with removing waterproof makeup. With the intense humidity in my country, using waterproof makeup is essential. Ordinary makeup removers don't do a good job of removing waterproof makeup completely. But cleansing oils do.

For this product review, I decided to do a "spend vs. save" type of article. This is to help people decide between two different products with budget in consideration.

Humans are insatiable. We always covet more. We can never seem to be satisfied. This is the mere reason why I believe the word satisfaction and contentment shouldn't exist. It should be eradicated from the dictionary. Sometimes this continuous craving for something more or something better is a good thing. But sometimes it becomes a hindrance for appreciation and gratitude.
