Sunshine Blogger Award

[Hat: Peaches on Top | Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Jellybean | Sandals: Zara]

I haven't done any "blogger award" post for years! I think of all the blogger awards passed on to me, I was only able to post one - which you can read here. I haven't written anything personal for the past few months. All you can read on my blog are about beauty, travel and my Kpop addiction. I did mention on this post that I will do a little reformatting on this blog which is why I have included such topics but I do miss doing something personal. Factual as this tag may be but the questions really answer to my personal life. I am not going to tag other bloggers (sorry Gellie!) as what the original tag requires me to do because I believe all of you bring sunshine to the blogging world. But I would like to encourage anyone or everyone reading this to also do it! And if you ever do, please leave a link in the comment box as I would be happy to read them.

So without further ado:

The Sacred Rules of the Sunshine Blogger Award:

1. Post a picture of the Sunshine Blogger Award
2. Link back to the blogger who nominated you
3. Share 11 random facts about yourself
4. Answer 11 questions posted by the blogger who nominated you
5. Nominate 11 bloggers who you feel bring sunshine to the blogging world, and let them know about your post
6. Write 11 questions for your nominated bloggers

I was tagged by Gellie of So Gelleesh.

11 Random Facts About Jenn:

  1. I used to be a huge fan of horror movies...until The Ring. I used to watch a whole lot of horror movies and don't get scared. I really, truly enjoyed them when I was younger. That is until I watched The Ring. It gave me a psychological scar that can never be healed by time. Since then I am always wary of watching horror movies as I don't want to suffer the same psychological trauma again.
  2. Tokyo, Japan has been my dream destination since I was a kid - always has and always will be. I have always daydreamed of walking the streets of Tokyo in my Harajuku -inspired outfit. I have always thought of going to a legit maid cafe and seeing all these cute waitresses in their maid outfit. I have always wanted to eat those delicious and cutely decorated sweets. I have always wanted to see the diverse and eclectic fashion scene. I made a promise to myself to finally go see these next year (fingers crossed!).
  3. I still consider myself an Otaku. In relation to number 2, one of the reasons why I dream of Tokyo is because I still consider myself an Otaku. If you don't know what it means, click here. I have been very vocal about my addiction to Korea and its culture but I've never really spoken about my not-so-secret addiction to Manga and Anime. Maybe because I feel like I am too old to like those? I don't know. But yeah, sometimes I spend my weekends reading Manga - shoujo manga to be specific - or googling for the latest happening in the anime world.
  4. I once wanted to do cosplay. And because I was that addicted to Manga and Anime since I was very young, I thought of cosplaying before. But I never really had the guts to pursue it probably because no one was in it with me. I always wanted to be Rei Ayanami;  Neon Genesis Evangelion will always be my favorite Manga/Anime.
  5. Devil May Cry is the only video game I ever finished. My siblings and I got so addicted to this game before and I can proudly say I am the first to finish this! I loved this game! But when I was done with it, I never played any other game. I don't know why. Maybe I just didn't have the time to play video games anymore or I just simply got bored with all the other games we have. I am not really a gamer and this is as close to being one as I can ever be.
  6. I was never allowed to go on slumber parties until I was in college. As I have always said on this blog, I was a sheltered child. They never allowed me to sleep over a friend's house until I was in college. That is about the time my parents actually let go of me. Some of you might think that they didn't allow me to experience  much in life but truth is, my friend's in high school didn't really hold slumber parties anyway, so no big deal for me. And besides, though I am not allowed to sleep over in their house, they are allowed to sleep over in mine. And that is just what we did!
  7. I used to drink a lot. I used to go out drinking with friends a lot when I was in college. We did it in my house, in a nearby drinking place, in school (sshhh!), during our excursions, wherever we feel like drinking! I used to enjoy it a lot and I get juicy gossip whenever we do these drinking sessions. But when I started working my hyperacidity became worse so I had to stop. I haven't been drinking for over 4 years now.
  8. My biggest fear is falling. Like literally falling. Falling down a plight of stairs, falling down a building - just the thought of falling from somewhere high scares the hell out of me. I am not afraid of heights per se. As long as I know I am secured I don't really care how high I am. But if the floor is made of transparent glass and I can see directly what is below me, that is what scares me because I always think I am going to fall.
  9. I like to listen to 50's music. Whenever I am at home, I always tune in to some 50's radio station and listen to nostalgic music all day. I don't know what it is about 50's music that just draws me in. Maybe because it was the year Christian Dior was established (my favorite designer of all time) or maybe because of the tea parties and tea dresses that it makes me think about. I don't have a song in particular that I like or a band/singer. It is mostly the melody and the overall vibe it brings that I love.
  10. Wakeboarding is already the most extreme sports I have ever done. I am not much of an athlete. Actually, I don't have any sports at all. I like to swim but I am scared of drowning and swimming in depth of more than 5 feet. Wakeboarding I already consider as the extremest sport I have ever done. I didn't know how to swim when I did this and it was so much fun and thrilling! I would love to do this again and hopefully overcome my fear of deep waters.
  11. I once dreamed of becoming an actress. I guess this is very common for kids and teens.

11 Questions from Gellie of So Gelleesh:

1. When you were around8-10 years old and was asked, "what do you want to be when you grow up?"What was your most frequent answer? I don't really remember anymore but maybe it was doctor or lawyer?

2. Do you think you're living the life you've always dreamed of having? Tell me about your expectations and the reality. No. Dreams don't always coincide with reality. Whatever we dream of doesn't usually happen in real life. But what I do know is that I can live the life I have always dreamed of. It may not be today or in the near future but someday I know I'll get there. The process  I have to go through to get there may not be the same as in my dreams but still, I'll get there.

3. When did you have your first romantic relationship and how was it like? 2007-present. It did not happen the way I dreamed of it happening. It was unexpected for me but I don't really care. He is someone who I have always dreamed of having in my life.

4. Would you consider your current situation as something you would want to escape from or do you believe you're on the right track in reaching your dreams? I believe I am in the right track. I've had thoughts about this before and my path is becoming clearer to me as time goes on. Now I am more certain on where I want to be in the future.

5. What was the biggest regret you had in your life? Something that happened 4 or almost 5 years ago. But I take it as a lesson.

6. If you can have any alternative profession, what would it be? A Kpop star - and I am serious!

7. Because of the sudden influx of the new technology, almost everything is online nowadays. What are your thoughts about online dating? Pass. I need warm bodies.

8. Where is your dream travel destination? As mentioned above, Tokyo!

9. What do you consider as your biggest achievement so far? Graduating college.

10. Did you ever had, "I wanna die right now" moment? Tell me about it. I think we've all had that - especially when you did something embarrassing in front of your crush.

11. If you can turn back the hands of time and relive one moment in your life (not change but just relive) when and what is that moment? When this guy, who is now my boyfriend, asked me to dance (the most kilig moment I ever had).
