It is my first time to experience spring. I have never been to any mid-latitude countries other than South Korea thus is the only country I experienced seasons other than summer. My perception of spring is sunny and flowers blooming everywhere. But to our surprise, spring is actually wet, windy and gloomy. It rained hard during our first day in Busan. But fortunately, it was already late afternoon when that happened and places we wanted to visit for the day were already ticked off our itinerary. But it was hard getting home because we had to walk for a good amount of time to reach the subway station and it was already raining really hard. Needless to say, we were drenched when we reached our hotel. The weather during our second day was great. I am the type of person who loves the gloomy weather. It didn't rain at all but the clouds were dark and gloomy. It wasn't as windy during the first day either. We were able to look around without any disruptions. Spring has become my favorite season. It may be wet, gloomy and windy, but the contrast between the dark skies and lovely colors of the flowers and cherry blossoms make the place more lovable.
Haeundae - this is where the Busan Aquarium is located. It is right at the shore. The beach isn't as lovely as I thought it would be because it is located next to a highway but it was worth checking out nonetheless. The sand is grainy and not the best type of sand for lounging at the beach but there were a lot of people there taking pictures and just relaxing. Maybe during summer there will be more people here soaking up the sun and getting a tan but since it was still chilling and cold during spring, people were mostly just passing by and taking pictures when we were there. The beach is also near Haeundae Market which is similar to Jagalchi Market where you can find various live sea creatures sold. There are so many restaurants in this short strip as well where you can just point which sea creature you want included in your dish and they will serve it to you fresh.
Dongnae Station - my mom and I were supposed to go to Oncheon Stream for more cherry blossom viewing and also to see other flowers that are in bloom. But we got lost again. We tried asking for directions but Koreans are really bad with giving directions and no one could give us a straight answer. Either they don't know or they can't read the map as well. So we decided to look around the subway station since we are there anyway. We found a small mall having a sale so we decided to check that out. Outside the mall, there is a small square that has a few cherry blossom trees and the petals are already falling. It was raining cherry blossoms! It was a magical feeling. A hospital was also built beside it with beautiful cherry blossoms so we decided to take pictures there as well. My cherry blossom fantasy was definitely satisfied in this trip. I wish I can relive those moments again.
I just had to take a picture of this 2ne1 hotel. As you may know, I am a YG stan and 2ne1 is my favorite Kpop girl group. I wonder if they have BigBang hotel as well? If there is, I wonder if the rooms are decorated with faces of the members. I will definitely book the Taeyang room if there is!
I used to hate Exo but ever since they released Growl I became obsessed. I am sad that they lost 2 members and HunHan shippers like me were devastated. I am still happy though that they are doing great. Sehunie, why you so cute?
Sorry if some of the pictures are blurred. My mom has bad vision and it was difficult for her to take pictures. But I do hope you enjoyed my pictures as much as I enjoyed my trip to Busan. The next post will already be the last of my Busan trip. These pictures are so nostalgic it brings me back to one month ago. I wish to go to Korea again soon! I really love it there! :)
