La Creperie

If you have been reading this blog for quite some time now, you would know I love trying out different restaurants. I sometimes go back to the same restaurant only if it is accessible to me and if I really loved the food. Another restaurant I tried recently is La Creperie. It is not really a new restaurant but because the street where it is located is not crowded, you wouldn't think there is a nice restaurant there. And because the ambiance was to our taste and the price is not too steep we decided to go ahead and try it out.

I have no words for the ambiance. It looks chic and French-like and simply very attractive. It is actually the thing that enticed us to eat here.

Sometimes when you see a restaurant with a really nice ambiance you think twice about the food; either it is very expensive but delicious or expensive but not delicious. Neither is to my liking: I want delicious food with a nice ambiance that fits my budget. Thankfully, La Creperie satisfied all that.

We were pleased with the crepe. After all, the name of the restaurant is derived from crepes so you would think the restaurant specializes in crepes - and they do. It is the best tasting crepe I have tried in my life! We went for the brownie crepe which has brownies in between and vanilla ice cream on top drizzled with chocolate syrup. It was heaven on my tongue! My friend and I thought pairing it with coffee would be a great idea. I ordered this coffee with whipped cream on top (I don't remember the name) and it was velvety smooth. I loved the texture of the cream and the coffee was just the right amount of bitterness. Though I loved the crepe and coffee, we were a little disappointed with the Truffle Pasta. It was bland. I was expecting something with rich flavor but the truffle was overpowering and the sauce lacked taste. I would be coming back to this restaurant only for the crepes and coffee.

Service was also commendable. They were attentive to our requests and they gladly answered all our queries. They were also fast in serving our food so we didn't have to wait until we were famished to eat. I enjoyed how they catered to our needs.

Overall I would recommend this restaurant for their crepes and coffee. I don't know if their other dishes would be delicious but I can guarantee their crepes are delectable.
