Smart Casual

Top and Pants: Forever 21 | Heels: Call It Spring | Bag: Mango
Watch: Anne Klein | Lips: Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart

I work for a government agency that doesn't have a strict dress code. Some of our senior staff members do wear more formal clothes e.g. coat and tie, collared shirts, etc. But mos of us have a more relaxed and flexible dress code. As long as you look appropriate to face clients and represent your agency, that is okay. We even can wear jeggings as long as it doesn't look exactly like jeans. On Fridays, we also implement the "casual Friday" dress code. I am lucky to be working in an agency that gives people more flexibility in terms of their clothes. Dress in a comfortable outfit but keep in mind that you are working and you have to look the part. And this is what I call smart casual.

Product Review: The Face Shop Pore Clean Cleansing Oil

Since I started using cleansing oil, I never used any other type of makeup remover. I love how easy it is to remove waterproof makeup with cleansing oil and I also love the fact that a cleansing oil doubles as a facial wash. I get makeup off my skin and I get to clean it using just one product. I really love how the Juju Aquamoist Cleansing Oil removes waterproof makeup and how my skin loved it as well. I did not breakout and my skin's sebum production was under control. But during my last 2 trips to Korea, I tried looking for a bottle only to find none. So I decided to try other brands hoping they will be worth my money.

For me, pancakes are the ultimate Sunday breakfast. I always envisage my Sunday's to start with having thick and fluffy blueberry pancakes with bacon on the side paired with a cup of thick hot chocolate. A slice of cold mangoes on the side to complete my dream breakfast. Unfortunately, this only happen once in a blue moon. On Sunday's I wake up at 10 or 11 in the morning too lazy to prepare breakfast so I end up with a cup of instant hot chocolate, 2 slices of bread, scrambled egg and butter; the easiest breakfast to prepare AKA breakfast of a lazy person. Good thing though indie restaurants have been opening left and right these days and eating your dream breakfast has become a reality.

A girl can never have too many sweets. I am one of those girls who can't get enough of sugar. My day is incomplete without sweets. I even believe that if I don't die of Alzheimer's I will die of diabetes. My craving for anything sweet and sugary is insatiable that the moment I smell something made out of heaps of sugar, I mindlessly salivate. It is an uncontrollable urge that I will always demand for dessert to be served before I leave the table.

Sarsa Kitchen

Dress: from Korea | Shoes: H&M | Bag: Furla | Necklace: Forever 21

I do not intend to convert my blog into a food blog. I am neither a fashion expert nor a food connoisseur thus I'd rather keep my blog the way it is: personal. But lately I've been eating too much it's not even normal anymore. This is a serious case of gluttony and my growing belly is evidence that I really need to cut down my calorie intake. Food is one of the world's nastiest temptations and one of the hardest to resist as well. I need to learn how to control my hunger.

Short Post: Death

Death is inevitable. One day we will all perish from this world. I don't believe in immortality but I do believe in the after life. I am a firm believer that once our mundane bodies have come to perish, our souls will move on to a different dimension. It is sad to part with our loved ones but that is the cycle of life. We just have to accept that we will someday leave behind people who are important to us. We have to accept that we won't be able to hold on to our possessions forever.

In the past few years, I have seen a number of deaths in my family and friends. Even in my line of work I deal with deaths. It is heartbreaking every time but then you realise that there is nothing else for you to do but accept and move on. I don't believe in zombies so I don't believe those loved ones will come back alive. But one thing is for sure: they are in a much better place now alive and looking after me/us.

Craves and Sights Busan Edition: Baskin Robbins, Krispy Kreme, Asian Moon, Cafe Friends Alley

Eating at various restaurants is always a part of my travels. Sometimes I even go to places simply for the restaurants there. Of course, I am not going to leave Busan without eating at some of their restaurants. Odd thing though is that my mom and I did not once eat Korean food in Busan. We were in Korea but we were not did not eat in any Korean restaurants. We did eat their street food which was superb - Korea really has the best tasting street food. But other than that, my mom and I decided to eat at restaurants which we happened to just pass by and then instantly decided to dine.

Travelogue: Haeundae-Dongnae Station

It is my first time to experience spring. I have never been to any mid-latitude countries other than South Korea thus is the only country I experienced seasons other than summer. My perception of spring is sunny and flowers blooming everywhere. But to our surprise, spring is actually wet, windy and gloomy. It rained hard during our first day in Busan. But fortunately, it was already late afternoon when that happened and places we wanted to visit for the day were already ticked off our itinerary. But it was hard getting home because we had to walk for a good amount of time to reach the subway station and it was already raining really hard. Needless to say, we were drenched when we reached our hotel. The weather during our second day was great. I am the type of person who loves the gloomy weather. It didn't rain at all but the clouds were dark and gloomy. It wasn't as windy during the first day either. We were able to look around without any disruptions. Spring has become my favorite season. It may be wet, gloomy and windy, but the contrast between the dark skies and lovely colors of the flowers and cherry blossoms make the place more lovable.

Travelogue: Nampodong-Yongdusan Park

Busan is like a mirror image of Seoul. There are attractions in Busan that are very similar and can rival those in Seoul. Nampodong is Busan's version of Myeongdong and Yongdusan Park is Busan's version of Namsan Park.
