Short Post: Revitalized

Shirt: Uniqlo | Velvet Skirt: from Hongdae, Seoul | Oxfords: Debenham's
Choker: Forever 21 | Bag: Marc Jacobs | Watch: Swatch
Lips: Tony Moly x Pokemon #03 Red Joy

Sometimes all we really need in life is to take a break and not think. Stop thinking about the mundane problems of the world. Stop thinking about work. Stop thinking about the future. Stop thinking about everything and just focus on yourself. Enjoy the moment and live life as how you want it to be.

Seoul, South Korea Haul Part 1 (Cosmetics and Skincare: Skin Food, Innisfree, Tony Moly, Missha, SeaNtree, etc)

I initially intended to make a video about this haul but video files were corrupted and I had to repeat the whole process again. Because I was too lazy to shoot again, I decided to just take photographs and briefly describe each item. I already threw away the boxes after filming the video. Sad. Nevertheless I hope you still enjoy looking at the things that I bought. Full review of the products will be posted here soon.

Lombard and Market Streets (San Francisco, California, USA)

After a sunny day spent in Burlingame, our next day was a bit dark and gloomy. Only brief periods of sun and sunshine were observed. It was cold but not chilly and just the right temperature for a nice walk around downtown San Francisco. The grey skies made the perfect backdrop to the intricate old architecture of the area as well as the colorful and charming Victorian-style houses around Nob Hill. It was a  day exactly how I envisaged it to be: gloomy and grey but charming and beautiful at the same time.

Product Review: The Saem Healing Tea Garden White Tea Cleansing Water

Dermatologists and skin experts often remind us to take off our makeup before we sleep. But with our busy lifestyle, you just sometimes forget unintentionally. When you are too tired from work or school all you want to do when you get home is to lie on your bed and snooze away. You don't have ample energy to get a cotton pad and remove your makeup or wash your face. This is exactly why I started to love cleansing water (since I tried Biore Micellar Cleansing Water). Yes, I need to get a cotton pad and swipe my makeup away but the great thing is, I can easily skip the rest of my skincare routine on such days. All I need to do is remove my makeup and I am good to go to sleep. No need for further washing.

Product Review: Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream #2 Glow

By the time this post gets published, I will be roaming around the cold streets of Seoul looking for new makeup products to bring home and show you all. I honestly can’t wait to share whatever things I will be buying here most especially the makeup and skincare products. Obviously, I have an infinite penchant for Korean cosmetics as they innovate and introduce new products all the time. Seriously, they are amongst the most innovative and widest selection of all! A makeup junkie’s heaven, if I may say.

Burlingame (San Francisco, California, USA)

Sweater: from Baguio | Skirt and Boots: H&M | Tights: c/o Myesoul
Bag: Le Sportsac | Sunglasses: Forever 21 | Rapunzel Pin: Tokyo Disneyland

Oh, San Francisco! You stole my heart (and money)!

If there is one place in the US that I was really keen to visit, it would be none other than San Francisco. Some of my favorite bloggers like Julia Engel (though she recently moved to a different city) and Kate Ogata are based there so why wouldn't I want to visit? More than New York or L.A. or Florida, San Francisco piqued my interest since Charmed (who else here remembers this phenomenal TV series?). The charming houses, the hipster vibe, the upscale neighborhoods - everything about San Francisco draws me in. I may not want to visit again soon (because it is hella expensive!) but I would again in the far future.

Dear 2ne1,

I am still in shock and in denial. I am still not over the fact that I won’t see your live performances anymore; that I won’t see your fierce stages; that I won’t hear your wonderful voices; that you as a group will no longer be there for me to wait. It hurt me deeply as a blackjack that you are disbanding. I was holding on to that thread of hope even though Minzy already left last May that the group will be coming back soon. I was hopeful despite only having three members and 2ne1 will never be the same. Still, there’s CL, Dara and Bom to look forward too. But that thread was cut too late. I wove it long enough and suddenly was cut. I am disappointed.

Where I Buy Korean Cosmetics

I am going to Seoul again in a few days and I honestly can’t wait! I thought I wouldn’t get the chance to visit this year as I have been going to Japan recently. But thanks to seat sales, I was able to get a ticket to experience winter in Seoul again (and to hoard some Korean cosmetics as I need to replenish my stock)!

Nara, Japan (Kasuga Taisha)

After a good morning spent in Todaiji Temple and Deer Park we headed to Kasuga Taisha – also known as the Grand Shrine. It is probably the prettiest (and creepiest) shrine I have seen in Japan. There is something eerie about the place but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It exudes a different aura and very quiet. I love how there are so many different lanterns scattered all over the place (not sure though what they symbolize). A stroll through its grounds involves lots of walking on flights of stairs and stone grounds. It can be tiring but definitely worth it. Entrance to the shrine is free but there are some restricted areas that require admission to be paid. You can ride a bus from the Deer Park going to Kasuga Taisha.

Trends and Personal Style

White Shirt: Landmark | Lingerie dress (used as top): H&M | Skirt: Uniqlo
Sneakers: from Korea | Watch: Swatch | Bag: Coach
Lips: Tarte Amazonian Lip Butter in Plummy Rose

Trends come and go but personal style transcend time and space. I am not one to religiously follow trends. If you have been following my blog long enough, you would notice that my style is not really one that incorporates trends. I tend to wear whatever I fancy (mostly dresses and pastel colours). But sometimes, it is nice to incorporate a few trendy pieces to my wardrobe to keep my style up to date. One or two trendy pieces are enough to make me trendy and still keep my personal style. For this fall/winter trends, I am keen on adding velvet and inner wear-as-outerwear pieces into my wardrobe.

Separation Anxiety

Top: Forever 21 | Dress: Miss Selfrdige | Sandals: H&M
Watch: Swatch | Bag: Coach
Lips: Tarte Amazonian Lip Butter in Plummy Rose

Leaving and moving on are difficult. When you've become so accustomed to the people around you, when you've become so comfortable in your environment, it makes separation a challenge. I mentioned in my previous post that I made a big decision towards the end of October and now my time with the people and environment I am so familiar with is nearing its end. I will separate with them soon and it honestly breaks my heart. But I have to think of my future and the new challenges that I will face. It is scary but exciting at the same time.

Weekly Pamper Routine

Once a week I like to treat myself to a nice relaxing evening and help me feel energized for the work week ahead. Mondays to Fridays can be very stressful and I can oftentimes neglect other aspects of my life so I always take my Sunday evenings as the day for me to relax and meditate. And to help me do that, I use the products pictured above.

Nara, Japan (Deer Park and Todaiji Temple)

It was a bright and sunny day. I left our hotel in high spirits and a glowing skin. I got back to our hotel looking stressed, dark and a few tan lines. Summer in Nara, Japan is sunny, hot and humid compared to the cool, spring-like weather in Tokyo. Sweat is a familiar physiological response for the hot and humid air. A handkerchief or towel alone is not enough. I wanted wet tissue to wipe all over my face and neck area to cool me down (and remove the dirt from sweat and pollution. Despite the Manila-like weather, I enjoyed the town of Nara. It has a similar old-world ambiance to Kyoto (which I still consider as my favorite place in Japan). It was amazing to see this place in such a bright weather (though I did wish the temperature was cooler).

Liebster Award II

Top and Heels: Forever 21 | Skirt: Bershka | Bag: Coach
Watch: Swatch | Pins: Japan, San Francisco, New Zealand
Lips: Tarte Amazonian Lip Butter in Plummy Rose

It never fails to make me feel really good about myself whenever I get nominated for a blogger award. This would have been the second time I get nominated for the Liebster Award (to which I still have no idea the meaning behind the word). Special shout out to Jannette of The Diary of a Daydreamer for nominating me for this award!

Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo Station)

Top and Skirt: Bershka | Sandals: Aldo | Bag: from mom

Tokyo Station deserves a post of its own. We spent the morning of our 5th day in Japan in Tokyo Station prior to our Shinkansen schedule at 1:30PM. As an avid anime fan, I cannot miss Tokyo Station’s Character Street. We had the whole morning to hop from one shop to the next to my otaku self’s satisfaction.

There is no turning back. I can only look ahead and move forward.

Tokyo, Japan (Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum)

Top: Cotton On | Skirt: from Aunt | Bomber Jacket and Sneakers: Stradivarius
Bag: from Mom | Socks: Forever 21 | Necklace: gifted | Watch: Swatch

In my past life, I could have been an architect. I am always compelled and awed by architecture and even houses that are out of the ordinary (meaning houses that don't look anything like the houses in Manila) make my heart flutter and my eyes sparkle. In particular, there is something amazing and breathtaking about Asian architecture that visiting temples, shrines, palaces and castles whenever I go to an Asian country is mandatory - no if's, no but's. I need to visit at least one.

Designer Fixation

Fashion need not be expensive - or so I thought. I used to think that spending more than a thousand pesos for clothes and bags is ridiculous. I would smirk at people who uselessly spend a lot of money on such items just because it has a brand. That is until I decided to give it a try. And now there is no turning back. While I still think it is ridiculous to spend so much money on designer clothes, bags on the other hand are a different think. The soft texture of leather and the crisp smell make me fall for them every time. Even when I tell myself no, as a self-confessed low EQ person, I could not resist.

I'm On Vacation

This post is just to let everyone know that I am going on vacation starting this evening and will not be able to update this blog for 2 weeks. I tried to write articles and do scheduled posts because I will be going on vacation for a long time but it was difficult! Believe me, I tried. I did not want to leave this blog unattended for 2 weeks but I was busy at work and couldn't get my mind to write any sensible articles worth your time. So I decided to just take a rest and let everyone know I am on vacation. I will respond to all comments and email upon my return. I will surely miss reading your comments but I just had to go on vacation. Stress is killing me lately and I badly need this respite. If you are interested in knowing where I will be going, you can follow me on Instagram (@pinklemonjenn) or on Twitter (@pinklemonjenn).

Hoping for everyone's understanding.

8 Korean Beauty Products You Should Try

With the popularity of Korean cosmetics these days, it is no wonder that many people would want to join the bandwagon. However, newbies would feel overwhelmed. The selection is as vast as the Pacific Ocean and the brands as many as the visible pores on my face (meaning A LOT!). I started out early in the game which is why I am able to catch up on the ever-changing trends in Korean cosmetics. Though I admit that there are so many brands out there nowadays that I haven't even heard of before, but as someone who has been following the industry for quite some time, I can say I have an understanding on what works and what don't. So, for the newbies out there or for anyone who is curious about Korean cosmetics, here are 7 products that you should try (and yes, I recycle my pictures because I have nothing better to show you).

Tokyo, Japan (Imperial Palace)

I was super excited to visit the Imperial Palace. I haven't read much before our trip to Tokyo so I didn't know really what to expect when we visited. I was thinking finally I will be able to see a real palace/castle (I was disappointed with Osaka Castle and Nagoya Castle was okay). Surprisingly, the Imperial Palace is not open to the public. You will only get to see it from afar. I guess it's because the emperor and empress of Japan are living here? The garden is open to the public though and is free entrance. Worth visiting during other seasons because of the blooms and trees planted but looks ordinary during summer.

L is for Learning

Top and Pinafore: thirfted | Shoes: Suite Blanco
Bag: gifted | Bracelets: from Quiapo | Pins: Stradivarius
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Candy Violet

Whenever I tell people that I don't know how to ride the bike they are always surprised. They would be like "what were you doing when you were a child?" And then I started to ponder. What was I doing during my youth? Did I waste away my life and did nothing? Was I too diffierent from other kids that how I spent my youth was something they could not imagine? I really don't know. And then I told myself, it is never too late to learn new things. I may be 28 years old now but that does not mean I cannot learn how to ride the bike. And I did.

Product Review: Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur

Primers are an essential part of my makeup routine. I don't know about you but in my opinion primers can make your skin appear smoother and make application of makeup easier. I have always been curious about the Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur because it claims to make your skin appear smoother and feel silkier. If a product claims my pores will disappear, I am sold. My enlarged pores have always been an insecurity (and so does my indented acne scars but more of my pores) and I just want them to disappear!

Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo Disneyland)

I can't go to Tokyo without visiting Tokyo Disneyland! It was actually my mom who wanted to visit but because Disneyland is one of the most picturesque places on earth, how can I resist? There are two Disneyland parks in Tokyo: Disneyland and Disney Sea. We decided to visit Disneyland because we wanted to compare it with other Disneyland parks we have visited. My mom has been to the ones in California and Hong Kong and I have only been to the latter. Honestly, there isn't any difference. Everything is just the same! So I therefore conclude that visiting one Disneyland in your lifetime is enough (and because of the fact that their food is ridiculously expensive!). Or maybe two because Disney Sea as I heard is a whole different theme park than your regular Disneyland.

Mixing Styles with Zaful

Dress: c/o Zaful | Shoes: Zara | Bracelets: Stradivarius
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Pink Grapefruit

When I first started this blog, I wanted to try different styles. I was mostly going with what is trendy and was so caught up with the idea of being a “blogger.” Sometimes I would try so hard to keep up with the trends that suddenly it felt suffocating. And then I found what my style is truly about and what I am most comfortable wearing. My style is very feminine and girly and I stopped trying so hard to be trendy. I realized I love flirty and frilly dresses and skirts, flats and heels. I don’t like studs, chunky boots and ripped clothes. But sometimes, it doesn’t hurt to experiment with your style. This is why I like Zaful. The wide selection of clothes they have caters to my personal style but also allow me to be creative and try other styles as well.

My Top 5 Favorite Korean Cosmetics Brands

If you have been reading this blog for a while now, you know my preference on Korean cosmetics over any other type of cosmetics. They are more affordable than their Western counterparts and they work quite well my skin (and hair). I have reviewed a lot of Korean products over the past 5 years that I've been blogging (yes, May 2016 marked the 5th year of my blogging and I still can't believe it's been that long already!) so some of you may already have an idea what I like, what I don't and what I consider as holy grail. For now, I will share the top 5 Korean cosmetics brands which would be helpful for beginners in the Korean cosmetics realm (if you are familiar with Korean cosmetics you are aware that it can be overwhelming due to the wealth of products to choose from). This list is in no particular order.

Tokyo, Japan (Odaiba and Shinjuku)

After a tiring day around Mt Fuji, my family and I decided to visit Odaiba. I wanted to have dinner in Baratie, the One Piece themed restaurant located at the 7th floor of Fuji TV station. Also, as an anime fan, of course I can't miss seeing the life-size Gundam robot in Diver City Tokyo Plaza mall. We decided to look around and see the Gundam robot first before heading to dinner. We also decided to shop a little in the mall. It was already around 7:30PM when we arrived at the base of Fuji TV station. I was confused as to why the escalators are all going down (there were two escalators and both are going down. None are going up). When I asked the receptionist, I was told Baratie is already closed for the day. They allow guests to enter only until 7PM and last order is 7:30PM. It was exactly 7:31PM when he looked at his watch. Damn!

My Favorite LBD (Little Blue Dress) From Zaful

Dress: c/o Zaful | Bag: Betsey Johnson | Shoes: Asos
Sunglasses: H&M | Rings: Forever 21
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Pink Grapefruit

Everyone says a LBD or a little black dress is a must in every girl's closet. It is that one dress you can wear for any occasion. But black is not really a shade that I am comfortable to wear so I don't really follow that saying. I would prefer a white dress any time or another LBD - the Little Blue Dress.

Mt. Fuji, Japan (Lake Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Station)

As I mentioned in my previous posts, the area around Lake Kawaguchiko is a sight in itself. It has character and the surroundings just seem alive – like it came straight out of the Daddy Long Legs anime! This is one of my favorite parts of our trip (next to Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architecture Museum) though I am sad about not seeing Mt. Fuji.

27 Dress

There is always a reason for me to buy a dress. If it isn’t obvious yet, I prefer wearing dresses over anything else. Jeans are uncomfortably hot and too restricting. Shorts are okay but most of the shorts I find are loose on the waist and too tight on the thighs (because I have huge thighs). Skirts are also okay but I always find a hard time thinking what top to wear. And because I am always running late (as I love to sleep in) dresses are the easiest type of clothing to wear – for any occasion! Whether I am attending a wedding (or getting married), going to a school dance or just for everyday wear a dress is the first thing that I look for.

How To Choose The Right BB Cream For You

There could be a number of personal reasons why you would choose one BB cream over another. I, for example, would always tend to gravitate towards BB creams that contain high SPF and has whitening properties. There is something about the position of the Philippines in the world that walking under the sun even for just a few minutes can make you instantly darker. Thus, a product that contains whitening properties always get high points from me which goes hand in hand with a high SPF.

Mt. Fuji, Japan (Ensoleille Excursion Ship and Kachi-Kachi Ropeway)

Top: Landmark | Pinafore: thrifted | Socks: H&M
Sneakers and Pins: Stradivarius | Bag: from mom

There are three ways on how you can get the best view of Mt Fuji: 1.) Ensoleille Excursion Cruise; 2.) Kachi Kachi Ropeway; and, 3.) through the Shinkansen. We did all but fail to see the beauty of Mt Fuji. We were disappointed. Nonetheless, this Japan trip was fun and tiring (as usual) and I got to experience new things.

Why You Need To Be Alone Sometimes

Dress: Jill Stuart | Shoes: Nine West | Bag: Furla
Choker: Landmark | Watch: Swatch

To be alone does not mean you are a loner. To be alone does not mean you are anti-social. To be alone does not mean you are depressed. Sometimes to be alone means to be independent. To be alone means to be confident and comfortable in your own self. To be alone means to learn.

5 Natural Beauty Hacks You Should Try

When all else fails I resort to our kitchen and whip up a magic potion for my beauty concern. Sometimes these kitchen-based ingredients work even better than store-bought chemically-formulated ones. It is a wonder how nature works and how its products can address my beauty concerns. I am glad I can count on nature and our kitchen to help me look and feel beautiful.

Mt. Fuji, Japan (Kawaguchiko Herb Hall)

Summer for me has always been equivalent to sunny days and warm weather. Little did I know summer in other parts of the world could be cloudy, cool and windy. I am referring to Tokyo. As I was planning this trip I envisaged the days to be bright and warm. I prepared light and breezy ensembles perfect for my vision of summer weather. But when we got to Tokyo I was wrong. It wasn’t cold but it was cool (around 22-25 degrees C). It wasn’t gloomy but it was cloudy. Thus, Mt Fuji decided to hide behind the clouds. I had imagined myself to be one of the lucky few who were able to see its majestic beauty but I was wrong. It did not show itself and I left feeling like I was robbed of a huge opportunity. I was hurt.

Random Musings Vol. 1

Dress: from Japan | Pin: Alice on Wednesday | Shoes: Nine West

Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Gel Coral

My head is a space full of random mundane musings. This is the first of this series because what else is the purpose of this blog than to absorb all my ponderings, right? And because I can’t think of any topic to write about for this week.

Everyday Makeup Routine

I don't wear makeup on a daily basis but when I do I have a set of products and routine that I live by. I will do some add-on's here and there sometimes especially when I have a special occasion to attend but on days when I wear makeup, I have a simple routine and use just a few products. These products and routine have never failed me and they give me the finish and look that I want and is appropriate for the day's activity (which is mostly work, work, and work).

How to Get a Japan Tourist Visa for Filipinos (With No Guarantor in Japan)

Japan has always been my dream destination so when Cebu Pacific introduced their Piso Fare promos I just couldn't help it. I had to book that flight to the land of my dreams! But after booking, I realized "holy sh*t! I need a visa!" Ideally, you don't book a flight for countries with visa requirement. But in my opinion, it helps. It might go to waste in some instances but generally I believe it helps. So, go, book that piso fare trip to Japan and follow the steps below on how you can get a tourist visa to Japan (please note that these are for people going without a guarantor in Japan. A guarantor is someone who lives in Japan and invited you to visit).

Style We

Dress: Style We | Shoes: Nine West | Bag: Michael Kors
Bracelet: Stradivarius | Belt: The Landmark
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Candy Violet

Time flies fast when you are having fun! I went on a week long hiatus as I was having fun in the cool summer weather of Tokyo, Japan. I know, I know. You are probably sick and tired of my Japan travel blog entries but I can't help it! Japan has always been a dream destination of mine and now that I have a multiple entry tourist visa to Japan (tips on how to get one in one of my next posts) I can finally go to Japan as many times as I want until it expires! So now, after that fun 7 days in Japan, I have a lot of catching up to do at work and on this blog.

I received this dress from Style We when I was in Japan and in all honesty, I was not expecting it to arrive that fast! I was under the impression they will send this dress via postal service (which can take months to arrive) but they sent it via DHL instead. I had to pay tax which is a little annoying because it was a gift (if it was sent via postal service I only have to pay the postal fee). But on second thought, I think I prefer this method because I don't have to wait for months for something to arrive and I can track my shipment.

Japan vs Korea: Battle of the BB Creams

BB creams will always be a staple in my makeup collection. I love the multi-functionality and how much time is reduced in my daily skin regimen because of BB creams. I have tried a lot and recently, I have started using Japanese BB creams as well. I used to patronize Korean BB creams but I find that there are certain occasions when Japanese BB creams works better. So if you are new to the Asian beauty world and can't decide whether to go for a Japanese or Korean BB cream, my comparison review might be helpful.

Product Review: Etude House My Beauty Tool Secret Brush 121 Skin

So many different type of makeup brushes are invented each year that I couldn't keep track of all of them anymore. But as I was in dire need of a new brush for BB cream application, I decided to read a few blogs and see what's new. I came across blogs that talked about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Oval Brush which hella expensive for me. I also read a few that talked about the Etude House My Beauty Tool Secret Brush 121 Skin. As Etude House has always been one of my favorite Korean brands and is definitely a lot more affordable than Anastasia, I decided to get one during their sale last 1-3 July. It is still quite expensive (original price is around 848.00PHP or around $18US but I got it at 20% off so I only paid 678.40PHP or around $14US).

Blogger Problem #6: Guide to Indoor Shooting

Top: Forever 21 | Skirt and Shoes: Zara | Watch: Swatch
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Rose Quartz

Because the rainy season has finally begun (actually, the country was already hit by 2 typhoons and its perenially raining in the afternoon. I don't have the time to take pictures in the morning when the sun is welcoming and the lighting is cooperating because I am always in a hurry to get to work. I only time in the afternoon after work but the weather does not permit outdoor shoots. So I am left with the option of shooting indoors. I have come to hate indoor shooting for many reasons: 1.) I can't find a decent background; 2.) the lighting is always difficult to play with; 3.) I can't see whether the pictures are blurred or not (unless I walk to my camera to check which I hate doing); and, 4.) it is difficult to play around with your poses. But because of the rain, I don't really have a choice.

Nagoya, Japan Haul

I shot this video 2 weeks after my trip but due to unforeseen circumstances I was only able to edit and upload recently. Next time I make videos I will not mention when my trip was unless I state the specific date! I also apologize for the lack of outro because I didn't realize I didn't film any! Anyway, I do hope you enjoy this video still and I will update the description box when I get back from vacation.

C is for Complacency

Bomber Jacket and Sneakers: Stradivarius | Hologram Cropped Top: People Are People
Skirt and Socks: Forever 21
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Rose Quartz

I've always loathed people who don't have the initiative. I hate them for even existing (okay, that is an exaggeration but still, I hate them)! I don't like working with them and I just wish that they would start to realize that they are more of a burden than a part of the team. But little did I know complacency is another trait I will come to loath even more.

Happy Birthday Althea!

No, Althea is not a real person but it is something us, K-beauty junkies have become so familiar with over the last few months. It is something K-beauty addicts like me consider as heaven. Althea Korea, is the premier online store where you can get your dose of Korean beauty items from the popular and cult favorites to the lesser known and emerging brands. Althea is turning 1 today and the celebration will last until the 31st of July. How exciting is this?

Nagoya, Japan (Yamazakigawa and Alice On The Silver Screen)

Beanie: from Baguio | Jacket: thrifted | Top and Skirt: Forever 21
Socks and Boots: H&M | Bag: from mom | Watch: Swatch

Our intention of going to Japan was to see the sakura in full bloom. Unfortunately, we were a week early and there were only a few trees that were in full bloom. Most of them are still buds. It was still a sight to see because of how pink the buds are and you see the flowers pushing their way out. It would have been a very lovely vacation had the cherry blossoms allowed us to see them but it was still an enjoyable vacation nonetheless. I hope I can go back next year and hope the sakura will allow us to glorify its beauty.

Spend vs Save: Urban Decay Primer Potion and Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

I rarely wear eyeshadows on a normal day but during special occasions such as weddings and birthday parties I always make sure to wear some. Even just a light dusting of a nice pinkish iridescent finish eyeshadow can already add glam and life to one's eyes fit for the occasion. And whenever I wear eyeshadows I make it a point to wear a primer underneath it to extend the longevity of the eyes makeup and also to intensify the color.

Top: Forever 21 | Skirt: Bershka | Heels: Zara | Bag: Michael Kors
Watch: Swatch | Necklace: My Melody from Japan
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Color Lip Creamer in Rose Quartz

And I'm back to shooting indoors because it's been raining quite frequently where I live (well, obviously because it is the rainy season). Also, pardon the very blurry photos I am not sure why my camera is so easily distracted by minuscule stuff around when there is actually a huge thing (pertaining to me) in front of it that demands its attention. Why won't you give me the focus that I need? It probably has the attention span as a 1-year-old just like me so who am I to reprimand it? Anyway, today's topic is something that is inspired by a colleague.

Nagoya, Japan (Noritake Garden)

Jacket: thrifted | Top and Skirt: Forever 21 | Socks and Boots: H&M
Beanie: from Baguio | Bag: from mom | Watch: Swatch

These photos were taken on our last day in Nagoya, Japan. With that said, this travelogue series is nearing its end. But don't worry because this only means that another travelogue series is about to open. I am really blessed that these past 2 years I am able to travel to various places, experience different cultures and just be out there. I have always loved traveling but there were so many constraints before that hinder me from pursuing this passion. I wish to be able to travel even more in the coming years (though sometimes I do feel tired riding the airplane).

Althea Korea and Etude House Haul

Whoever said money can't buy happiness clearly did not live to experience Althea Korea and Etude House. Just browsing through their stores and testing out their products give me happiness and even more happiness when I am able to bring home with me one or a few of the items they are selling. If only money grows on I would be buy all of the items on their shelves and I'll be the happiest person on earth (how materialistic, eh?).
