One day, as I was looking for a nice place to shoot my outfit of the day, I stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant/cafe that looks like a house outside. Most people won't even give it a second look because it looks like an ordinary house. But it is only when you enter that you'll realize how magical this little restaurant is.
It was a mixture of feeling at home and feeling like in a cute place. The restaurant itself is quite small and most of their dining tables are on the porch (I prefer al fresco dining anyways so that is fine). They have an open kitchen where they conduct baking classes so customers who are there only to dine can still watch. Even passersby can watch (the open kitchen has a glass window so people outside can watch). The small details like those cute cupcakes they placed on the nook and quotes plastered on different walls took the whole vibe of the restaurant to another level. It was definitely a feast for my eyes.
Cakes and pastries are what Nikko's Baking Studio take pride on. I regret not getting even just a small slice. I was too caught up with having hot cocoa that day (I'm just addicted to hot cocoa) and I decided to get something sweet as a drink instead of dessert. I wish I could have tasted just one of their moist and delicious cakes (according to reviews). The pasta was okay. I thought it was too salty but I like how al dente they cooked the pasta. It was the perfect texture. And of course, when I saw on the menu that they had Pink Lemonade, I had to get it. How else will I be The Pink Lemonade Girl? It was good and refreshing. The Pink Lemonade Girl approves.
They have good customer service. I like how the waitress indulged us with small talks about their baking classes and their food. It is nice sometimes to talk to restaurant staff to give you an idea about the restaurant and what else they offer. She also allowed us to take as many pictures as we want and roam around the vicinity while they cook our food (in some restaurants you would be too shy to do that but they were fine with it.) They were very attentive to our needs and even when they were already closing they still allowed us to linger and enjoy eating our food.
Nikko's Baking Studio is a nice restaurant. I will try to get one of their cakes soon and see if the reviews are true. I just wish they could stay open longer though so I can enjoy eating without worrying about their closing time. They are open 8AM to 6PM Monday to Fridays. Not sure about their operating hours during weekends. You can visit their website if you want to find out more: http://www.nikkosbakingstudio.com/
