From Luffy to Kaneki to Sakuragi and many more famous anime characters as well as iconic animations such as Pokemon, Sailor Moon and My Neighbor Totoro – Character Street is every anime lover’s dream. I ended up buying a few items such as the Luffy and Kaneki pins (the latter I lost in San Francisco!) and a Slam Dunk shirt for le boyfie. I could have bought a whole lot more but I already spent so much money in Komehyo (a mall that sells everything secondhand). Be warned though that items here are not that cheap and if you are huge on anime, you can go broke here (just saying).
You can access Character Street even when you are not going to board the Shinkansen as it is located outside the turnstiles going to the platform. Tokyo Station is iconic itself and hard to miss from the outside (Euro-like architecture juxtaposed modern, high-rise buildings) so accessing Character Street should be easy. It is also near the Imperial Palace so if you are planning on heading there, drop by Character Street too for your dose of anime goods.
