Sometimes all we really need in life is to take a break and not think. Stop thinking about the mundane problems of the world. Stop thinking about work. Stop thinking about the future. Stop thinking about everything and just focus on yourself. Enjoy the moment and live life as how you want it to be.

It will take a while before I am able to go on vacation again (work commitments) so this last trip was very important to me. I don't know when I can take a break again so I made the most of it. If you follow my Instagram (my feed can be pre-viewed below. Just scroll to the bottom of this page.) you would know where I went and how much fun I experienced. I was able to tick two off my goals: to wear a Hanbok and to experience snow falling from the sky. I guess it was a blessing from the heavens as they know it will be the last vacation I will have in a while. I also went ahead and splurged on things that I love: cosmetics, food, and a new bag (haul video will be uploaded soon). It was a relaxed trip as my mom and I have been to Seoul three times already (if Busan is included, it was our fourth time in Korea) so we just went back to a few places that we liked (Myeongdong, Hongdae, Insadong and Samcheongdong) as well as go to a few new places (Korean Folk Village and Garosugil). And it was because of this trip that I remembered why I love Korea in the first place.

I still have so many travel posts lined up about my San Francisco trip so this winter trip to Korea will commence some time next year (hope you are excited about it!). But this trip made me feel relaxed, happy, and revitalized. Now I am ready to take on life's challenges again.

Ohmygosh. Korea, the home of gorgeous people and beautiful boys and endless innovative cosmetics technology~ You are so lucky to travel a lot. I've never seen snow and I am hoping I'd get to see it some time too.

  10. That's the best after you get back from a trip and you're ready to get back to life! Typically, I just wish to be on vacation again haha. Not because I hate my 'regular' life, but because I just love seeing the world. It's my passion. These photos are absolutely fabulous! Seems like you were genuinely happy and had a great time. Hope you have a great NYE!!

  15. Hi Jenn! I hope 2017 will be as great as your 2016. I totally agree that for once, maybe we should stop thinking of anything but ourselves and the present. Make the most out of it and worry less about the future.

Sometimes worrying too much about the future makes you anxious and stressed out. Just live in the moment and be happy.

  18. Yes. Thinking too much can be stressful. I hope to get to travel a lot still in 2017!

  19. Me too! I tend to overthink and over analyze things which wears me out! I should learn how to live in the moment and worry less about things. Me too! I really wish to travel a lot still this year.

  21. The best 10,000won find.

  22. Hahaha! Typically I wish to go on vacation for the rest of my life whenever I am on a vacation because there are so much more I want to see and discover. It is probably because I have been to Korea many times already that I feel like I am no longer a tourist and the activities we did were not as stressful as previous trips that I felt relaxed and recharged.

  23. Thank you! This is the best my best find yet in Korea!

  27. Yes! I always have a great time whenever I travel. I may be too tired in some of my travels but I enjoy every second of it. I hope to travel a lot still next year. I wish you all the best too in 2017!

  28. Thank you so much! I practice and try to see which editing works best for my style.

  29. Really? Well, I was like that when I was working as a freelancer too. Because you just never know when a project will come and you have to keep on taking projects because there is no stable income that traveling seems like a dream. But since I started my regular day job, I had more free time on my hand for traveling and doing whatever I like. Ironic.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes! I am sad too but I am excited about my new job and maybe later part of the year I will get to travel again.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Exactly, but still here I can't find any other job than a freelancer one, because no one needs IT support or programmers in my city and moving out is not really profitable. Only good thing right now is that I have enough time for my hobbies.
