Nagoya, Japan (Osu Kannon Temple and Osu Shopping District)

Update: Apologies for publishing this post without even a single word, apart from the title, written. I did not realize this was the case until people commented and then I looked at the article and to my surprise it was a blank page. Rest assured this incident will not happen again in the future. I know some of you visit this little space for the articles but I failed to put anything when this post was published. Apologies.

Short Post: Lazy Day

My Sundays lately are spent with my back on my bed, my eyes closed and my fan turned to the highest speed. In short, my Sundays are spent sleeping. I don't know how it happened but since I graduated from college and started working I could no longer find myself enjoying staying up all night chatting with friends, drinking and eating. I just couldn't do it anymore. I would rather spend my weekends and holidays doing household chores, baking and sleeping (if I am not traveling). I need at least 7 hours of sleep every day. It may be a sign of aging but I quite like it. I like the peace and quiet being lazy and relaxing at home gives me. I like to be able to just lounge around and worry about nothing. Sometimes we just need some time to throw ourselves away from reality and drift off to dreamland.

Nagoya, Japan (Nagoya Science Museum)

Jacket: thrifted | Dress and bag: from mom | Boots: H&M
Socks: Forever 21

Nagoya Science Museum was not in our original itinerary. I am not a huge fan of science museums and they do not spark any interest in me. I love cultural museums where in traditional clothes and houses are showcased but science museums would be at the bottom of my list. But my brother insisted because he wanted to see the planetarium. He is a science geek and because he rarely comes with us on trips, I succumbed to his request. I did enjoy the museum but not as much as I enjoyed the other places we visited. I would recommend visiting though if you are traveling with kids because it is an interactive science museum and they will have a lot of fun while at the same time learn about science. I don't recommend the planetarium if you can't speak Japanese because they don't offer an English version of the show. It was a bit boring too because it was more of a lecture than a show (and because I couldn't understand a single thing!).

Brand To Love: The Face Shop

The Face Shop is probably one of the first Korean cosmetic brands that graced the Philippines soil. Before Etude House, Missha, Tony Moly and many other Korean cosmetic brands that are now everywhere in the country, there was already The Face Shop. Bae Yong Joon was the first endorser of the brand I ever saw and it was during the height of Winter Sonata. I used to be a huge fan of both the endorser and the brand. But after quite a few products, the brand fell short of my expectations. I was disappointed and hardly buy their products after that.

Quick Respite

We all need to take a short respite once in a while. A quick getaway to the nearest beach or mountain for the weekend is sometimes enough to recharge you for what awaits the following week. As they say, work hard but play harder.

So the rainy season has officially begun in my part of the world. I prefer rainy days more than sunny days because I love the cool breeze, the sound of the raindrops and the gloomy environment. Most especially, I love the rainy season because I now have an excuse to wear my jackets, tights, and layer piece after piece after piece of clothing item. I love the cozy weather during this time of the year and to help keep me warm and comfortable I keep my closet ready for this kind of weather. Above are my rainy day closet essentials.

P.S. I know I am a day late again this week because I went on vacation and I didn't have enough time to prepare articles for this week. Apologies!

Nagoya, Japan (Atsuta Shrine)

It was very cold and windy that day and I could still remember my shivering back as we walked inside what looked more like a forest than a shrine. Even if the sun was shining as brightly as ever, that did not offer any comfort against the ice cold breeze. It was the chilliest I remember spring to be. But despite the uncomfortable cold weather, Atsuta Shrine was worth the journey. It looked more like a forest and a labyrinth more than a shrine to be honest. There were so many turns and everything looked almost the same. You can get lost in there but because there are many people around, of course you won’t. I love Atsuta Shrine because it was quiet and peaceful – a different surrounding than what you will see outside the gigantic Torii gates (which is a bustling highway on one side and a residential area on another).

BB Cream vs CC Cream: What's The Difference?

L-R: Touch In Sol Corean Complexion Cream, Ettusais BB Mineral Cream, Sugao Smooth CC Cream, Avon Anew CC Cream, Moist Labo Matte Cream BB Cream, Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream
BB creams will forever be a staple in my makeup collection. Ever since I tried them, I just couldn’t stop using. I love how natural it looks on my skin plus the added skin benefits such as whitening, anti-wrinkle and SPF. But lately, its sisters suddenly introduced themselves. First came CC cream and no we even have DD creams. I have no idea what the latter is and I have never encountered such product. But the former, I have tried a few (3 to be exact, as shown in the picture). For the newbie in Asian cosmetics, distinguishing between a BB cream and a CC cream can be confusing and browsing through what seems to be endless shelves of Asian cosmetics seem like a daunting idea. To give you an idea…

I Love Blogging

Top: Forever 21 | Pants: Uniqlo | Heels: Ted Baker
Bag: See by ChloƩ | Necklace: Universal Studios Japan | Watch: Swatch
Lips: Lime Crime Velvetines Utopia

I have thought about abandoning this blog multiple times. I have various reasons that I think are valid as to why I should stop blogging. But every time I try to stop I keep coming back. I just can’t seem to stop blogging. I know I am not getting anything out of doing this (this blog is not earning any income nor is requesting for any donation from readers for maintenance). My efforts are not compensated. I keep buying clothes & makeup and I just bought a nice camera last year so I can keep doing this. I am not getting anything out of this so what’s in it for me to still be doing this? Answer is: nothing tangible but a lot of intangible.
