Trend Report: Layered Ruffles

Top: thrifted | Skirt: Uniqlo | Velvet Shoes: Asos
Earrings: Egg | Bangle: Kate Spade
Lips: The Face Shop Melting Lip Color in Rose Quartz

I am not one to really follow trends. Most of time I am behind by a season or two. I just can't seem to find the reason to purchase trendy items that will most likely be out the next season. But on my lucky days a.k.a days when I go to the thrift store and find something that is on trend, I wouldn't pass the opportunity to purchase something trendy (though lately I have been making trendy purchases on accessories).

This layered ruffle tops is something I did not expect to find at the thrift store. I bought this for only 80.00PHP (around $1.60US)! When I fist saw this I knew I wanted to get it because I've been seeing Blackpink in ruffles a lot lately and thought it is something that their stylist might put on them (I am a huge fan of their stage/appearance outfits). Then when I tried it on I thought it was too over the top. But then I thought of Blackpink and decided to just buy it. This is probably the best thrift store purchase I made in a long time. This top may be trendy but I see ruffles coming and going all the time so I think I made a good purchase. Plus the fact that I bought it for only 80.00PHP for something trendy made the purchase even more reasonable.

Which trends have you been wearing lately?

  6. You really look good on that top, Jenn. I don't think I'll be looking that good when I wear the very same top. Also, I have to agree that you got it for a very minimal price. I wish everyday we can buy clothes without spending much.

  13. Such a great find, both the price and the style! Love that it's a bit conservative and almost looks like something from 100 years ago. Love it though, the floral and ruffle statement is just so pretty! Have a lovely week gorgeous! Xx
